Task 1 - Due 5th November

A: Complete the following; create a new post on blogger -

Research three different animations, include:

  1. Animation technique used
  2. Evaluation of the technique (what is good about the technique/ animation? what could be some of the problems with this techniques/ animation?)
  3. Source or web link must be included 
B: Explain and evaluate in detail each of the animation techniques:

Complete over half term,  for Tuesday 4th November - if you don not have a computer then you can come into college and use the library.

  3. Flick book
  4. Cel animation
  5. Rotoscoping
  6. Drawn on film
  7. Digital applications
  8. Claymation

  5. Aardman Animations
C: Complete further research into a minimum of two animations. Analyse and investigate the techniques for each one, in as much details as possible. 500 word for each. Complete by the 5th November

Introduction:
  • Who is the animator?
  • Who produced it?
  • What year did it come out?
  • How successful was it? (box office figures, did it win any awards)?
Main Body:
  • Analyse the animation, discussing what you can see, take actual examples from the clip. Content, dialogue, sound effects and style. 
  • What effects have been used? (Use actual examples from the animation and discuss how effective the technique is)
Conclude:
  • What is good or bad about the animation?
  • Is the technique used successful?
